One of the injured HFD Fire Fighters, Captain William Dowling, has been involved with foster care for many years. Many of our foster children get moved from home to home and in doing so have all their belongings stuffed into a green garbage bag to take with them or in some cases must leave without their belongings at all. Therefore, in honor of Captain Dowling, Arrow Ministries will be on site to collect donations, suitcases, and back packs for children in foster care. The Gulf Coast Marrow Donor Program will be on site recruiting potential bone marrow donors for the Be the Match Registry.Bring the whole family to enjoy the afternoon for lunch and live entertainment from Mark Jones & 20 Paces and Wes Brown. We are also very excited to announce a special appearance by Fire Fighter and country music singer Paul Cummings who will be performing his world-renowned song ‘The Firefighter Song’.
Texas Association of First Responders relies on private and corporate donations, as well as specific public events to raise funds. TAFR is a 100% volunteer organization with no paid staff. TAFR does not solicit donations through telemarketing or mass mailing efforts.
