It’s a Beverly Hills 90210 reunion (the awesome original one of course)!
ABC Family on Monday announced that Jennie Garth has come aboard as co-star and co-executive producer with her former 90210 co-star Tori Spelling on a new comedy pilot called Mystery Girls. It will mark the first time the two have co-starred together since their popular 1990′s teen drama ended.
The plot surfaces around a former starlet who is roped into solving crimes with her former mystery TV show co-star when a witness to a crime will only speak to the infamous “Mystery Girls” which was a huge TV hit in the 90′s (in fictional TV land).
Spelling will play Holly, who is desperate to get her fame back and plans to use her acting skills and “crime expertise” to do so. But she has to recruit Garth’s character into helping her and that won’t be easy as Garth’s character Charlie is now a happy suburban housewife and mother.
Now if they can only get Shannen Doherty aboard for a “very special episode”!
