Holidays 2022: Walmart, Target release top toy lists

Halloween hasn’t even happened yet, but retailers are hoping the upcoming holiday season will put them back in the black, so they’ve already released the hot-toys toy list for 2022.

Shoppers may not want to wait to get the must-haves from this year’s list. CBS News reported that many of the hottest toys last year were sold out before Christmas.

Here are the hottest toys for 2022 broken down, by retailer.

Walmart

Walmart released its list of top toys in August “to help families plan ahead and save on their wish lists this holiday season.” The company said that the list of 55 toys has a wide range of prices, with as half $50 and several under $25.

Target also recently announced its “Bullseye’s Top Toys of 2022″ along with an exclusive partnership with FAO Schwarz, where Target will sell exclusive FAO Schwarz-branded toys at brick-and-mortar locations, on Target.com and at FAO store locations.

Similar to Walmart, Target is touting affordable toys this holiday season with items starting at $14.99.
