Jennifer Tyler

Jennifer Tyler was born in Southern Illinois, but has lived in the Houston area since age 12, and considers it home. She’s a 1982 graduate of Spring High School and a 1987 graduate of Sam Houston State University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Radio/TV/Film. She loves football & hockey, and also enjoys cooking, reading, writing and going to the theater. Jennifer is also a committee volunteer for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She lives with her 3 cats, Mercedes, Dyna and Sophie.

WILDEST DREAM: I’d love to get a photo with Steven Tyler that I can use for my Christmas card and sign it ‘Merry Christmas from the Tylers!!!’

BIGGEST CHALLENGE: Stage fright! It’s easy to talk on the radio, but to get up in front of a few thousand people and make stage announcements before a concert makes my stomach do flips.

INDULGENCE: Massage & mani/pedi

RECENT IMPULSE PURCHASE: Sammy Hagar’s “Red - My Uncensored Life In Rock”

FAVORITE MOVIE: Hard to narrow it down to just one. Some of my favs are 'Urban Cowboy',‘Arthur’, ‘American Beauty’, ‘Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”, “Office Space” and “Gone With The Wind”.

FIRST MEMORY OF "SWEET EMOTION" BY AEROSMITH: “Toys In The Attic” came out right before I turned 11. Even as a kid, I was a total music freak. The kids in the neighborhood and I used to play a lot of board games and we always had the radio on. I always made them really crank it up when the song came on. And, of course, I’d sing along.
