Amazing fire whirl picture looks just like tornado
"Fox & Friends" showed a picture that looks like a tornado, but isn't. Crews battling the Bonita Complex Fire in Oregon spotted the "tornado," which is actually a fire whirl. The cloud was created by strong winds rising up from the hot ground. The whirl even had embers inside. Oregon Live reports The Bureau of Land Management also thought it was a tornado, and apologized. The Examiner reports fire officials were handling the third largest wildfire in Oregon's history when they shot the photo.
