Scout leader attacked by beaver, saved by scout
Nick Hedges is being called a hero after saving the life of his scout leader, Normand Brousseau. A rabid beaver attacked Brousseau while they were swimming in a river in Pennsylvania. Hedges had to pull Brousseau to shore and joined three fellow scouts in pelting the beaver until it died. Brousseau has since gotten more than 20 rabies shots and is recovering well.
