Rolling Stones gearing up. Ann Wilson is 3 years sober. Release date for "The Best of Frampton Comes Alive 35". 30 richest drummers. Manly ways to handle going bald. Mental tricks for a thinner you. Wake up with a workout anyone can do. Four signs your boss hates you.  Muffin top triples risk of heart attack and stroke.

ROLLING STONES

Well, the Rolling Stones are definitely gearing up for a new album, live shows -- and maybe more. The band has been photographed leaving a Paris recording studio, with Mick Jagger confirming the band's current sessions by tweeting a photo of himself holding a Fender Stratocaster with the message: "Had fun in the Paris studio this week!" It's unclear whether the Stones were recording new material or simply performing or being interviewed for their upcoming 50th anniversary HBO documentary set to air this fall.

Drummer Charlie Watts admitted that upon joining the Stones in early-1963, becoming famous -- let alone being regarded as living legends -- truly seemed impossible: "No, no, every band I'd ever been in lasted a week. I mean, you only lasted as long as the guy in the club, or whatever, would book you for. So, if they didn't like you, y'know, it was two gigs and that was it. So I always thought it was gonna last a week."

HEART

Among the revelations in Heart's upcoming autobiography, Kicking And Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul And Rock And Roll, is that Ann Wilson battled alcoholism and is celebrating three years sober. Although Wilson chose to go cold turkey, entered into therapy, and avoided any 12-step programs, she told Ultimate Classic Rock, that having a clear head made the music on the group's upcoming album, Fanatic, come together, revealing, "(It's like) the effect of kind of lifting a tarp off of me, creatively. I was having so much trouble writing songs and just coming up with ideas when I was still drinking. Once I stopped, and have been going through this whole process of recovery and everything, it's just as if the tarp has come off and I'm just more aware."

She went on to add: "It's all about mindfulness and being aware that the very reason why you drink is to protect yourself from all of these things that hurt and in the meantime, you protect yourself from everything good too. So it really has helped a lot."

Ann said that when she and sister Nancy Wilson started compiling Heart's new box set, Strange Euphoria, there was no committee of management, label heads -- or even friends -- that had input on the way the collection ended up: "Well, the interesting thing is that we've never thought of Heart as sounding like anything in particular. Y'know, we've always had a way that we've gone about doing our music; it's been outside forces that have said, 'Well, this is what Heart is supposed to sound like.' So on this box set, we don't even address what people outside of the Nancy and Ann world think. Y'know, we've got this together ourselves, there's just no outside influence on this, really."

PETER FRAMPTON

Peter Frampton has announced a November 13th release date for his new The Best Of Frampton Comes Alive 35 album. Frampton, who revisited the album on tour in 2011 and 2012, has been going sifting through the tapes with a fine tooth comb to select to perfect versions for the live set, which features all the tracks from the original 1976 double album -- plus the additional cuts performed during the original shows, but scrapped at the time due to time constraints. Also included is the second half of Frampton's shows, featuring deep album cuts, newer tracks -- as well as a dip or two into his Humble Pie catalogue.

Frampton posted an update on his Facebook page, saying, "The pf Best Of FCA35 CD is in final mixing stage by engineer, Ashley Shepherd here in Cincinnati, OH. We have four more toons to choose and then mix. I never want to hear these songs again -- by me anyway!!! 116 shows to choose from and even with the detailed log we kept as we went of which nights we as a band preferred, listening to 38 versions of 'Do You Feel. . .' is a tad bit time consuming. BUT I have found some really great musical moments from everyone in the band. 30 tracks -- two CD's. Available November 13th with or without the FCA35 DVD."

Frampton said that his legendary black Les Paul was a warhorse onstage and unlike today when due to various tunings, he can go through half a dozen guitars during a single show, the guitar had to handle everything Frampton threw at it: "We didn't have more than one guitar in those days, y'know. If you wanted another guitar, you sold the one you had to get another one (laughs). So it was only. . . I think I had a white backup Les Paul -- that was about it. And nobody really had backups of things -- that was it. I think if there was different tuning for 'Nowhere's Too Far (For My Baby)' I would do it before the number onstage by myself. I don't tune myself anymore; I have someone I pay to do that (laughs) -- fancy schmancy, yeah!"

    30 RICHEST DRUMMERS

Dave Grohl and Lars Ulrich are among the 30 richest drummers in the world, according to a new survey by CelebrityNetworth.com, with both men finishing in the Top Five. Not surprisingly, the wealthiest stickman on the planet is Beatles timekeeper Ringo Starr, who has amassed a fortune of $300 million. Grohl, who mainly beat the skins for Nirvana, is not far behind with $225 million at Number Three, while Metallica's Ulrich makes Number Five with a slightly skimpier $175 million.

The estimated wealth of each musician on the list is based on salaries, real estate holdings, divorces, record sales, royalties and endorsements, while taking out taxes and various fees, as well as lifestyle choices.

Although Grohl has been the frontman for Foo Fighters for nearly two decades, he said a while back that he still enjoys drumming the most: "I feel most comfortable behind the drums. I mean, being the lead singer of a band I actually feel kind of uncomfortable. I like doing it, and the challenge and the fear is one of the things that I like about it. But playing the drums, it's like I just feel totally comfortable doing it. I don't really worry that, you know, I'm not gonna be able to do what I'm supposed to do".

Other iconic drummers featured on the list include Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers with a cool $90 million in the bank, Black Sabbath's estranged Bill Ward with $65 million, Tre Cool of Green Day with $45 million and Tool's Danny Carey with $40 million.

MENTAL TRICKS FOR A THINNER YOU:

A new study in the Journal of Obesity claims that women of average weight who think of themselves as fat are more likely to become fat. Psychological stress is thought to cause weight gain.

Here are a few ways to think yourself thin:

      1. Get some pictures of what you'd like to look like.

      2. Write out how many pounds you'd like to lose.

      3. Do the dishes. People who eat off smaller plates are said to think they have eaten more than they actually have.

      4. Make fit friends.

      5. Be messy. Leave your food wrappers out to remind yourself how much you've eaten.

WAKE UP WITH A WORKOUT ANYONE CAN DO: According to Women's Health magazine, working out before your day distracts you. A quick, easy bedside routine will get your day going and help the secretion of neurotransmitters.

Jog for two minutes in place.

Cat Cow Pose -- do 10 of these.

Split Squat -- 30 seconds on each side.

Squat Thrusts -- do as many as you can in 30 seconds.

Leaning Side Plank -- do this for 30 seconds on each side.

FOUR SIGNS YOUR BOSS HATES YOU:

      1. He doesn't move his coffee cup when you sit down. If your boss respects you, he won't want anything between you when sitting across from you.

      2. He stands facing you. If your boss trusts you he will stand side by side with you and not facing you.

      3. She aims her body away from you.

      4. He only emails you.

MUFFIN TOP TRIPLES RISK OF HEART ATTACK OR STROKE: According to a study done by the Mayo Clinic, people who are not overweight but store most of their fat around their waist have a greater risk of stroke or heart attack than someone who is obese. The study found that people with normal body mass index but a high waist to hip ratio were 2.75 more likely to die from a heart condition than people who are normal on both scales.
