Happy birthday Paul Rodgers!  Stones at Coachella? McCartney on SNL. "Band Fuse: Rock Legends". Who is most likely to break their iPhone? People prefer leaders with deep voices. Five cool Facebook tricks you probably don't know about. Nine things you can do to be happier in 30 minutes. Twelve of the most inspiring Twitter accounts you should follow.

PAUL RODGERS

Happy Birthday to the legendary Paul Rodgers, who celebrates his 63rd birthday today (December 17th)!!! The recently reunited Bad Company are currently in post-production for their upcoming documentary called Movin' On, which chronicles the band's 2010 gigs. No release date has been announced.

Although a renowned rock songwriter, whether it's his work with Free, Bad Company, the Firm, Queen, or on his own -- Rodgers knows that his ultimate musical gift is his unique voice: "I'm lucky, y'know? I'm blessed by God to have the voice that I do. And I've also listened a lot to, what I feel are the greats -- people like Otis Redding and Ray Charles, say, and James Brown. . . a lot of blues guys, too, you know? John Lee Hooker. . . and I copied those guys, y'know, initially, until my own style developed. And I like to think that I'm still experimenting -- I'm still playing with my voice, and I'm still trying different things from night to night. A lot of them are subtle, that people might not even notice, but I do. I'm trying things all the time."

In 2009 Rodgers received an honorary Doctor of Letters degree from Middlesbrough, England's Teesside University, which is located in his childhood hometown. Rodgers says that rock and roll was one of the only ways out of Middlesbrough: "I was born in, in Middlesbrough, in the northeast of England, which was heavy industry, steel works, chemicals, and ship building, and coal mining, and all that kind of thing. And really, you were educated in order to go into one of the above. And I used to look around and think, 'God, is there no other way?'"

Since splitting with Queen + Paul Rodgers following the European dates in support of their disappointing The Cosmos Rocks album, Rodgers has reconnected with Bad Company for a series of shows and a newly released live CD and DVD. He was asked if any of the band's old tensions reared their ugly head during their reunion gigs: "Well actually, y'know what, it was really nice. It was a really warm feeling because we've been through a lot over the years. And we did all those wild and crazy tours back in the '70s and onwards. And I think towards the end of it, we got a little burned on each other, y'know? It was good to part company and do different things."

ROLLING STONES

It looks as if the Rolling Stones will be performing at the 2013 edition of the Coachella Festival, according to Rolling Stone. An update appeared Friday morning (December 14th) on the tour section of the band's mobile app, listing an April 12th date in Indio, California and labeling it Coachella 2013. The annual alternative music festival has been staged at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio every year since its inception.

The date was taken down not long after it was posted, but not before a number of fans had taken screen captures of it. It was reportedly back up a few hours later.

Coachella 2013 will take place in Indio over the weekends of April 12th through the 14th and April 19th through the 21st.

Meanwhile, the Stones' four-date mini-tour wrapped on Saturday night (December 15th) with the second of two shows at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga and the Black Keys were among the scheduled guest performers.

Former guitarist Mick Taylor joined them at the first gig in Newark on Thursday night (December 13th). He also played with them in London as well.

More Stones dates are expected to surface soon, with a full tour possibly on tap for 2013.

    PAUL MCCARTNEY

Paul McCartney rocked on Saturday Day Night Live and the following day he joined Nirvana to release the studio version of "Cut Me Some Slack." McCartney and Dave Grohl used the 12-12-12 concert to debut the song. It's from Grohl's upcoming documentary Sound City about the grungy recording studio where albums by Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana were recorded.

    The documentary premiered at Sundance.

    CHECK IT OUT

    SLASH

Slash has confirmed his participation in the upcoming "Band Fuse: Rock Legends" video game. He confirmed the video game on Twitter. The new game is reportedly like Rock Band and Guitar Hero however, the problem with those games was that according to actual Rock and Roll legends, they did not properly exemplify the real experience of playing in a rock band. Reportedly, Band Fuse: Rock Legends is set to break that mold.

Reportedly, between one and four players can take part at the same time and play along to the music as it would typically be read by musicians as they learned themselves. Slash said, "Hands down, best guitar game."

Slash, Zakk Wylde and Bootsy Collins have reportedly filmed their own tutorials within the game to teach players how to play certain tracks.

The game reportedly features 55 songs and includes acts like Rush, Pantera, Pearl Jam and Jane's Addition.

Band Fuse: Rock Legends will be available on Xbox and Playstation 3, this coming spring.

WHO IS MOST LIKELY TO BREAK THEIR IPHONE?

A company that insures gadgets such as cell phones called SquareTrade says that stock traders are 40-percent more likely than the average iPhone owner to report damage occurring to their iPhone. Those with tattoos are said to be 25-percent more likely to have a broken iPhone, the same goes for those who are motorcycle owners. SquareTrade also says people who have sex more than once a week are 15-percent more likely to report a damaged iPhone - also, pet owners are slightly more likely than average to report iPhone damage. PEOPLE PREFER LEADERS WITH DEEP VOICES:

In a study published in PLoS ONE, researchers recorded 10-men and 10-women saying the same phrase, and then altered the recordings to make the voices sound higher or lower. The altered recordings were played for a group of men and women who were told the speakers were running for a school board seat. They found that men preferred lower voices in both male and female candidates and women preferred other women with lower voices, but showed no preference among the men. Study authors speculate that women may not care about the pitch of the male voices because for stereotypically female jobs, women may actually value men with feminine qualities like a higher voice. FIVE COOL FACEBOOK TRICKS YOU PROBABLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT(The Stir):

      1) You can hide that you're online. If you don't want to be available to chat with your "friends", simply hide your name from the "online" section. Just click on the chat icon at the corner of the screen and click the option that says "go offline." Boom, done. Later, weird-person-I-met-once-20-years-ago trying to strike up a conversation.

      2) You can download your entire Facebook history. Weird, right? And I'm not quite sure why anyone would want to do this, but nevertheless, it's an option if you so choose. Simply go to the Account Settings page; click "Download a copy of your Facebook Data"; and download your entire Facebook history. Voila! Six years of LOL-worthy fun times.

      3) You can schedule a Facebook status. Going out for a few hours? Flying? Going to be out of the country for an undisclosed amount of time? Not to worry, you can schedule a Facebook status update for those times when you just can't be at your computer, but need to let the world know you still exist.

      4) You can edit already published comments. It's happened to the best of us. We've written what we think is a HIGH-larious Facebook post and then we realize we spelled "the" "teh". You can fix it. Simply roll over the comment, click on the pencil icon, and edit away!

      5) Get mail you've missed. You may log in and realized you somehow missed a bunch of messages. The reason? They were in the "Other" folder in your mailbox. When you go into your mailbox, check the icon marked "Other". You may have missed messages. And they may be good!

NINE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO BE HAPPIER IN 30-MINUTES(Fox News):

      1) Raise your activity level to pump up your energy. If you're on the phone, stand up and pace. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Put more energy into your voice. Take a brisk 10-minute walk. Even better...

      2) Take a walk outside. Research suggests that light stimulates brain chemicals that improve mood. For an extra boost, get your sunlight first thing in the morning.

      3) Reach out. Send an e-mail to a friend you haven't seen in a while, or reach out to someone new. Having close bonds with other people is one of the most important keys to happiness. When you act in a friendly way, not only will others feel more friendly toward you, but you'll also strengthen your feelings of friendliness for other people.

      4) Rid yourself of a nagging task. Deal with that insurance problem, purchase something you need, or make that long-postponed appointment with the dentist. Crossing an irksome chore off your to-do list will give you a rush of elation.

      5) Create a more serene environment. Outer order contributes to inner peace, so spend some time organizing bills and tackling the piles in the kitchen. A large stack of little tasks can feel overwhelming, but often just a few minutes of work can make a sizable dent. Set the timer for 10 minutes and see what you can do.

      6) Do a good deed. Introduce two people by e-mail, take a minute to pass along useful information, or deliver some gratifying praise. In fact, you can also...

      7) Save someone's life. Sign up to be an organ donor, and remember to tell your family about your decision. Do good, feel good¯it really works!

      8) Act happy. Fake it 'til you feel it. Research shows that even an artificially induced smile boosts your mood. And if you're smiling, other people will perceive you as being friendlier and more approachable.

      9) Learn something new. Think of a subject that you wish you knew more about and spend 15 minutes on the Internet reading about it, or go to a bookstore and buy a book about it. But be honest! Pick a topic that really interests you, not something you think you "should" or "need to" learn about.
