PAUL MCCARTNEY
Out today (November 27th) is the new Paul McCartney collection -- Kisses On The Bottom - Complete Kisses. The set features McCartney's recent Top 10 standards album, Kisses On The Bottom, alongside the entire 13 songs as featured in his Live From Capitol Studios' concert performance -- along with four bonus tracks, including the Kisses sessions outtake, "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)." Other bonus tracks include a previously unreleased version of "My Valentine" arranged by Johnny Mandel alongside the evergreen "My One And Only Love" and a cover of McCartney's 1979 Wings favorite "Baby's Request" -- which he had originally written with the Mills Brothers in mind.
McCartney says that Kisses On The Bottom is in a way, a love letter to his extended family back in Liverpool: "The idea started because on of my fondest memories from when I was a kid was the New Year's Eve sing-along. Y'know, in Liverpool, that was really big in our family. My dad was the guy that played the piano at the New Year's Eve do's. You'd roll the carpet back and you'd get the nice kick-back of the linoleum, and the girls would all sit around, the ladies, all the aunts and that, with their 'gin and it' 'rum and black' and they'd all sit around slowly getting well-oiled and they'd sing all night."
The tracklisting for McCartney's Live From Capitol Studios bonus disc is:
"I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter," "Home (When Shadows Fall)," "It's Only A Paper Moon," "More I Cannot Wish You," "The Glory Of Love," "We Three (My Echo, My Shadow And Me)," "Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive," "My Valentine," "Always," "My Very Good Friend The Milkman," "Bye Bye Blackbird," "Get Yourself Another Fool," and "My One And Only Love."
ROLLING STONES
The Rolling Stones' legendary sax player Bobby Keys said that he feels that the end is now in sight for rock's original bad boys. Keys, who was on hand on Sunday night (November 25th) at London's O2 Arena, first performed with the Stones on the 1969 Let It Bleed
classic, "Live With Me," before touring with the band in 1970 and being featured on the 1971 chart-topping "Brown Sugar."
Keys said that having been around for as long as he has, this definitely feels like the victory lap for the band: "I talk to Keith (Richards) and Ronnie (Wood) occasionally. And I went back to New York a couple of months ago to work on Keith's solo album and don't really think about the Stones as much as being a part of my life as I used to. Well, for one thing, the reality of it is, y'know, this train is going to pull into the last station pretty soon. I feel like it (laughs). It's kind of winding down. This might be sayonara, see you later, had a good time, and keep in touch time, y'know?"
DOOBIE BROTHERS
The Doobie Brothers are one of the many '70s bands out on the road that have embraced releasing their albums independently and calling the shots with their live shows. Guitarist Patrick Simmons told The Las Vegas Review-Journal, that he feels that fans are excited seeing them play their latest material alongside the best loved hits, explaining, "They know the band's not just living off its former glories, but actually trying to achieve and break new ground on stuff. We do this music because we like to play. We have to do things for ourselves, that's just the bottom line. Whether people like it or not it doesn't really matter, because we're gonna do it anyway. It's one of the things you can be self-indulgent about when you're on the road and riding buses every night and putting up with a lot of bad food and stuff. That's the perk for us, that we get to go up there and play a few songs that are out of the norm."
He spoke about the band's critically acclaimed 2010 album, World Gone Crazy, which the Doobies released through the indie label HOR Entertainment: "(They) didn't have huge clout, but they were pretty supportive and had enough resources to get us out of the chute, so to speak. We end up selling 100,000 albums, maybe, but then we sell a lot of downloads of songs."
Guitarist and frontman Tom Johnston maintains that the Doobies aren't in it just for the glory or the money: "We're very fortunate that we're still out here able to be workin' on a regular basis, because people wanna hear us. It's been a long run -- but it doesn't seem like a long run. It seems like it was only yesterday that we started doing this, and we're still out doing it now. But times have changed, and we got to witness it all. And having a good time -- and that's basically why we're still doing it. If we weren't having a good time, I don't think I'd still be doin' this."
CADBURY INVENTS NON-MELTING CHOCOLATE
Cadbury U.K. says they've invented chocolate that won't melt in warm weather. Scientists at the research plant in England said the new chocolate can remain solid after three hours in an incubator at 40 degrees Celsius, or 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Chocolate's melting point is usually about 34 Celsius and 93 Fahrenheit. (FOX)
WOMEN TAKE 12-HOURS TO CHOOSE OFFICE PARTY OUTFIT
Results of a British survey reveal that women say they usually spend 12-hours choosing an outfit to wear to their office holiday party. Nearly half of those surveyed say they enjoy primping themselves for the party more than the actual event. The survey finds that 13-percent of those surveyed said they take five-hours or more to prepare for their office holiday party, and women say they try on an average of four-outfits before choosing one to wear. FIVE COOL IPHONE TRICKS YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT(The Stir)
1)Siri will do your math. Probably never thought to ask Siri to figure out the tip on your restaurant bill, since you have a calculator, but why not?
2)Reply to incoming calls with texts. Easily. If you downloaded iOS 6 for your iPhone, you have the option to simply reply to a call with a text if you're unable to answer -- in one fell swoop. This option doesn't appear automatically, though, so you need to "swipe upward" from the bottom of the screen when it's ringing, and you'll see "Reply With Message." Also, you can customize your "automatic responses" with texts like "I'll call you later" or "I'm on my way."
3) Read like you're not on your phone. If you downloaded iOS 6, Safari supplies a button called Reader at the top right of the U-R-L bar. If it detects a text-heavy page, it will reformat what you're looking at into a full-screen mode, making it easier to read.
4) Don't let your kids -- or your friends -- snoop. "Guided Access" lets you lock down your entire device save for the app that your little one wants open. Simply go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access. Then set a passcode. When you want to use this feature, just open your app of choice, triple tap the home button, and hit the start button at the top right.
5) Camera shortcut. When you see something you really want to take a photo of, no need to unlock your phone and tap your camera. After hitting the home button on your iPhone, you'll see a little camera icon next to the "slide to unlock". Just swipe up, and your camera's ready to go.
WHY JUNK FOOD TASTES BETTER WHEN YOU'RE ON A DIET
A new study shows a connection between pleasure and guilt in the brain. Participants in the study were shown magazine covers-- some were shown health-related covers and others shown unrelated covers. All participants were given a chocolate bar, and those who viewed the health-related magazine covers reported the chocolate tasted better than those who had not. In a related experiment, scientists made women feel guilty, and then showed them attractive men on a dating website. Women who felt guilty felt much more pleasure from looking at the men on the website than those who did not feel guilty. (Daily Mail)
BLUE LIGHT MAY KEEP YOU AWAKE AS WELL AS COFFEE CAN
French and Swedish researchers have found that exposure to blue light may improve alertness in night drivers as much as a cup of coffee can. Exposure to blue light is known to stop the secretion of melatonin, the hormone that causes sleepiness, into the body. Researchers had a group of volunteers drive at night three different nights. During each of the nights the volunteers were given coffee, or were exposed to continuous blue light. Researchers found that drinking caffeinated coffee and exposure to blue light both improved driving alertness about the same amount. (Daily Mail)

SEVEN THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER POST ON HIS FACEBOOK PAGE(The Frisky)
1) .Write "Miss you," "Love you," or any overly sentimental catchphrases. You just might miss or love him - but there's no need to share it on Facebook, unless you're trying to somehow make other people jealous of your relationship (in which case, that still isn't the best method - honestly).
2) Post a whole album of just the two of you in yawn-worthy circumstances. We get it: You're in a happy relationship. And posting photos of you and your boyfriend is more than okay; you just have to draw the line somewhere. Went on an awesome, exotic vacation? Sure, share the album - chances are, there are some cool pics we'd all click through. But spent a weekend cuddled up on the couch, eating takeout Chinese and taking adorable self portraits? Keep them to yourself.
3) Immediately connect with him on LinkedIn, follow him on Twitter, FourSquare and Instagram, and add him on Klout. So, he granted you access to his Facebook page and you recently decided to be exlcusive. And you just happened to notice he's also on LinkedIn, Twitter, FourSquare, Instagram and Klout. But don't go connecting with him on all of those just yet. Treat your mutual social networks as you would your texts: You probably didn't send him 10 texts in a row when you first exchanged numbers at risk of coming off, well, desperate; so don't go "adding" him all over the Internet right away, either.
4) Write "Thanks for last night/weekend," followed by any emoticon, especially a wink. Again, this falls under: Things the whole internet doesn't need to know. So you had a great weekend with your boyfriend - maybe he even took you on a surprise romantic trip to the Poconos. Share the details with your girlfriends, not your guy's wall. The second you post some cheesy message about it on Facebook, the night/weekend in question becomes less special, and more generic.
5) Add all of his female friends to your network. Gradually, as you get to know your new man's friends, you'll likely connect with them on Facebook as well. So there's no need to go on an adding spree right when you start dating - especially not with his female friends. While each situation is unique, unless you've met and interacted with his girl friends, it's best to hold off on adding them.
6) Make date night plans. You just discovered this amazing new, romantic restaurant on Yelp - perfect for date night. What to do: Call, text or talk to your boyfriend about going there this weekend. What not to do: Write on his wall about going there this weekend. Facebook is not meant for mundane conversations with people you see or talk to on a regular basis anyway. So don't make a habit of communicating with your guy on social network.
7) Share his personal and somewhat embarrassing stories. It's always exciting when you reach the point in your relationship where your boyfriend starts seeing you as a confidante, revealing, perhaps, some of his biggest fears, most embarrassing stories or guiltiest pleasures. It's a big step forward - so don't go take a bigger one back by betraying his trust and writing about those personal truths on his (or your) profile. Unless he explicitly tells you he's okay with it ,it's just not worth it.
