Rolling Stones announce shows. Neal Schon proposes. Greatest guitarist of all time. NFL players think uniforms make them look fat. Prenups don't predict divorce. Women's favorite social site. The happiest times of our lives. How to understand a woman.

ROLLING STONES

As expected, the Rolling Stones announced two shows for London's O2 Arena and Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center. The shows, which are part of the band's 50 And Counting dates, will take place on November 25th and 29th in London and December 13th and 15th in Newark. A pay-per-view screening of the December 15th show will be distributed by World Wrestling Entertainment as One More Shot, and broadcast live the night of the concert. The Stones last performed in public on October 6th, 2006 when they wrapped their massive A Bigger Bang Tour in Regina, Saskatchewan's Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field.

To the dissapointment of hard-core fans, former members Bill Wyman and Mick Taylor are not -- officially -- a part of the upcoming shows, but the band's video teaser -- featuring Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, and Ron Wood -- did promise "a few friends joining us."

Despite the fact that the band is playing Newark, New Jersey -- not a New York venue -- Mick Jagger said in the announcement: "Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in!"

Keith Richards added: "Sorry to keep you all hanging around but the waiting is over. I've always said the best place for rock n' roll is on the stage and the same is true for the Stones. I'm here with Mick, Charlie and Ronnie and everything is rocking. See you very soon!

JOURNEY

Journey guitarist Neal Schon proposed to girlfriend Michaele Salahi during the band's concert on Sunday (October 14th), in Baltimore, Maryland, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. Journey was performing at the One Night One Show One Cause benefit at Modell Performing Arts Center, when keyboardist Jonathan Cain continued to vamp on the piano while a choked up Schon brought Salahi onstage, got down on one knee and proposed. Following a tender moment between the couple, the band launched into its 1983 power ballad, "Faithfully."

TMZ.com reported that Schon, who was terrified that the ring would be stolen, had the million-dollar ring dropped off to him at his hotel by an armored truck. Salahi will become Schon's sixth wife. He has five children from his previous marriages.

Prior to hooking up with the Journey co-founder, Salahi was best known for crashing a White House party with estranged husband Tareq Salahi, and a stint on Bravo's The Real Housewives Of D.C.

Last February Tareq Salahi sued the couple for $50 million along with $450,000 in punitive damages. The suit, which was eventually thrown out of court, alleged that Michaele had been living a double life with Schon for years, and set out with Schon to humiliate and defame Tareq. The suit came a day after Journey's video, "Resonate" was released showing the couple wrapped around each other in passionate embraces.

GREATEST GUITARIST OF ALL TIME

Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen has been named the greatest guitarist of all time in a new poll sponsored by Guitar World magazine. Almost half a million votes were cast in the survey, which was the first ever commissioned by Guitar World on this subject. The tournament-style poll began in April with a total of 132 guitarists that were gradually winnowed down to the final match-up between Van Halen and Queen axeman Brian May, with Van Halen beating out May with 62 percent of the vote.

May was no slouch, creating an upset situation by knocking off Jeff Beck, George Harrison, Les Paul, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix before going head to head with Van Halen. The latter also polled against contenders like Slash, Joe Satriani and Randy Rhoads on his way to the top spot.

  • 27,000 people voted online in the final round between Van Halen and May.
  • Eddie Van Halen has appeared on the cover of Guitar World 21 times.
  • Van Halen is currently recuperating at home after having intestinal surgery last month. The band came off the road midway through a summer tour and will resume its live performance sometime in 2013.
  • Eddie's son and bass player, Wolfgang, has been keeping busy by playing in Mark Tremonti's touring band, while singer David Lee Roth has been amusing himself by making videos in which he speaks on a number of topics.

NFL PLAYERS THINK UNIFORMS MAKE THEM LOOK FAT

The defensive linemen in the NFL are complaining that their new uniforms make them look fat. The Wall Street Journal recently reported that the guys (many of whom way around 300 lbs) don't think that the "body-contoured fit" is the most flattering option. "I hate them," 300-pound Alex Boone of the San Francisco 49ers told the newspaper. "They are built for thin guys. It makes me look like I have big old love handles." (WSJ)

PRENUPS DON'T PREDICT DIVORCE

Contrary to superstition, 86% of experts say that a prenup has no predictable impact on a marriage with regard to the couple's likelihood of divorce. So, what does cause couples to get divorced? According to the experts, communication problems are the leading cause, followed by sexual infidelity and "not spending enough time together/not mutually prioritizing the marriage." How to prevent a split? 80% of experts polled agree that couples who attend premarital counseling are less likely to get divorced than couples who don't. (YourTango.com)

FACEBOOK IS WOMENS' FAVORITE SOCIAL SITE

According to a new poll, the average woman's most embarrassing social networking gaffe is posting incriminating photos or wall posts that were seen by a family member. Meanwhile, the average woman checks social networking sites five times a day -- and her favorite one is Facebook. 18% have gone out with or made out with someone they met on a social site -- and 12% have let Facebook or Twitter interrupt a workout. HOW TO UNDERSTAND A WOMAN (Men's Health)

1. Stare at Her (Without Being a Creep)

Every woman has her own ticks. The key is figuring out her normal body language so you can tell what isn't normal -- a surefire way to pinpoint when she's upset or stressed, says Tonya Reiman, body language expert and author of The Body Language of Dating. Take blinking: If she normally doesn't blink much but you notice she's suddenly doing it twice every second, you know she's under stress. Some other things to watch for:

  • Her voice: Pay attention to the pitch, says Reiman. It might be subtle, but when she's stressed it'll change.
  • Her posture: If she moves her hands to cover her breasts or neck, she's feeling vulnerable, says Reiman. It's her way of taking cover.
  • Her lips: She'll likely bite her entire lower lip when she's upset. (On the flip side, you know you've won if she nibbles at a corner -- a sign she's aroused, says Reiman.)

2. Mirror Her Movements

You've probably heard that when people are in love, they tend to mirror each other's movements. The trick works for arguments, too. Don't go Simon Says style, but subtly start copying her -- say, cross your arms if hers are crossed -- so that you're on an equal footing to talk, suggests Reiman. At that point, start de-escalating things. Slowly uncross your arms and after a minute or two, bring your voice down. If she doesn't respond right away, slow down and try moving in closer to make eye contact. Once she follows your lead, briefly touch her arm or thigh to reinforce your physical connection. The slow de-escalation can be contagious -- she'll likely cool off with you.

3. Touch Her -- But Don't Overdo It

Get all touchy-feely when she's in one of her moods and you'll receive a swift slap. But if you sit close to her and face her, you'll remind her of your intimate connection. Men and women see intimacy in different ways -- women through being face to face, men through doing things side by side, says Helen Fisher, relationship expert and professor at Rutgers University. Make sure that your legs or hands touch, too: Utah researchers found that affectionate contact lowers stress markers in both men and women.

7 THINGS THAT ARE RUINING YOUR SLEEP (Marie Claire)

1. Going from Night Owl to Early Bird

Who says bedtime is just for kids? Take extra care to maintain your sleep schedule, especially on the weekends. The body responds to routine. If your bedtime is sporadic- 11 pm some nights, 1 a.m. others- your mind won't be properly prepared to snooze on the weekdays.

2. Bringing Books to Bed

Reading before bed is a habit for many. Problem is, your body has likely adapted to that routine-it won't go to sleep until you've logged a couple chapters. Retreat to a comfy couch or window nook instead for your literary fix. The bed should be off limits for anything other than sleep or sex.

3.Facebooking Into the Wee Hours

The brightness of your computer screen stimulates the brain. Plus, it's difficult for your mind to stop fretting about your digital to-do list, even once you've logged off. Avoid late-night surfing and shut down your computer. Give yourself time to wind down without any electronics.

4. Skimping on a Good Bed

A good mattress will cost you anywhere from $500 to over $3,000. Consider it money well spent. A decent mattress-do your homework!-will give you a more restful sleep. The same is true for quality bedding and pillows. Opt for a soft pillow if you're a back or stomach sleeper. Buy a firmer pillow if you sleep on your side.

5. Setting a Bright Alarm Clock

The looming glare of your alarm clock can be distracting when trying to sleep. The goal is to have as dark a room as possible. Block the bright numbers with a book or consider buying a small travel clock. Your cell phone alarm may also do the trick.

6. Counting Sheep

When you just can't fall asleep, it's useless to stay in bed. If you've been trying to fall asleep for more than 30 minutes, the National Sleep Foundation suggests doing something mundane, like balancing a checkbook, reading or watching TV. An activity that demands marginal brainpower will lull your mind. Before you know it, you'll be crawling back into bed genuinely tired.

7. Exercising Late at Night

Daytime workouts will keep you invigorated for hours. That's why you don't want to exercise within three hours of hitting the sack. Intense physical activity raises your body temperature and pumps your energy level-both interrupt a calm transition into sleep.
