Rolling Stones London shows sell out in less than 10 minutes. Gene Simmons was a Led Zep reunion go-between?  Women lie about having their period to get out of stuff. 8 words that give away a liar. 5 ways to overcome your fears. Knowing when to upgrade your electronics. Powernaps may boost brain activity. Men don't buy the  gifts women want.

ROLLING STONES

The Rolling Stones' two London shows for next month sold out in only seven minutes and temporarily crashed the Ticketmaster server, according to Vintage Vinyl News. Including the service charges, the tickets for the Stones' November 25th and 29th at London's O2 arena, ran from $170 to $650 -- with the "Special VIP Platinum Experience" tickets costing fans a cool $1,500. According to various Internet sites and insiders predictions, scalped tickets may run as high as $30,000 by the time of next month's UK shows.

The general on sale for the December 13th and 15th shows at Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center is set for October 26th, with V.I.P. Hospitality Packages having gone on sale on Saturday (October 20th), and the American Express pre-sale happening today (October 22nd).

Rock reporter former Today Show music correspondent Rona Elliot has just published the new eBook, called Mick And Keith: Never Stop. The video-enhanced eBook features 22 exclusive interviews of the "Glimmer Twins" -- Mick Jagger and Keith Richards-- taped during a break in the Stones' 1989/1990 Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle tour.

Elliot said that from what she's gathered, when it comes to Mick Jagger, there's far more there than meets the eye: "Let me say; I think there is a lot there -- but he doesn't let everybody in. You see, I think he's an extraordinary intellect, I think he's well read -- I think he's brilliant. But, I think that he has put up the wall -- the wall that is covered by charisma by the fact. And the real Mick, the Mick that is strategic, the Mick that is charming, that is the incredible father, is available to the people that he trusts around him."

KISS

Kiss' Gene Simmons revealed that several years ago, he acted as the go-between for a prospective Led Zeppelin reunion. Simmons, who's promoting Kiss' new album, Monster, recalled how he nearly played a role in getting Zeppelin to team up again following their 2007 reunion at London's O2 Arena, which was captured on the new Zeppelin CD/DVD collection, titled, Celebration Day.

Simmons told The Sun, that a major promoter gave him access to about $320 million and enlisted him to help secure another Zeppelin reunion: "In 2009, 2010, I was given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy (Page) and Robert (Plant) and trying to convince them to get back together. Of course, it didn't work. Robert just doesn't want to do it."

Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones admitted that it took very little rehearsal or preparation for Led Zeppelin to fall back into their old ways during rehearsals for their 2007 reunion gig: "I mean, it just immediately, it clicks again. You don't have to work at it; you just fall into how it's always been. Y'know, I mean, we played. . . I don't know how many shows we played in all in the old days. And suddenly time was compressed and suddenly you're right back there again and you're working on the same things you were always working on and focusing on the same issues. And it just slid straight back into it again. Once the fingers got going again, the brains followed -- as did our asses."

WOMEN LIE ABOUT HAVING THEIR PERIOD TO GET OUT OF STUFF

38-percent of women admit to pretending to be on their period when they actually aren't, an online survey finds. The number one reason they do this? To get out of exercising. One in seven surveyed said they use the excuse to avoid sex, and almost 20-percent use it as an excuse for being irritable or moody. Still, others lied about "that time of the month" to gain relaxation time, or to use it as an excuse to indulge. The results also indicate that 90-percent of women suffer from pain during their periods. (Daily Mail)

8 WORDS THAT GIVE AWAY A LIAR (Cosmopolitan)

    1) "Left." When he uses this word (ie: "I left the bar at six" vs. "I went home at six"), there's some kind of drama involved. Maybe he got stuck in traffic or is hiding something he did that he shouldn't have.

    2) "Never." The big thing to look out for is when he uses the word "never" when "no" will do. It's a sign he's overcompensating. For example, if you ask, "Did you just look at that girl's butt?" and he says "Never!"

    3) "That." If he puts "that" in fron of a noun, like "that woman" or "that money," it's a subconscience attempt for him to distance himself from the word. This is a common trick of manipulators.

    4) "Would." If he skips "no" and goes straight to "I would never do something like that!" when talking about a past event, be wary. For example, "Are you still talking to your ex?" "I would never do that to you!" "Would never" suggests that he plans to do it in the future.

    5) "Yes, ma'am." If he's a southern gentleman, then this doesn't apply. But if he suddenly says "ma'am" to you out of nowhere, be cautious. It's a sign he's feeling stressed and knows he's in trouble.

    6) "By the way..." Liars use phrases like this to try to minimize what they say next-- but usually it's what's most important to the story. Pay extra attention to what he says afterward.

    7) "But." Liars usually try to downplay what they say with this word, so pay attention when he says something like, "I know this is going to sound strange, but..." or "I know you think I'm lying, but..."

    8) "Why would I do that?" It's a favorite stalling line of liars, so they can buy a little time to work out what to say next. These phrases also fit the bill: "What kind of a person do you think I am?", "Are you calling me a liar?", and "I knew this was going to happen to me!"

5 WAYS TO OVERCOME YOUR FEARS(MSN)

Want to expand your horizons, be a braver person and enjoy life to the fullest? The key is admitting what scares you and then pushing yourself to overcome it! Follow these steps to get there:

    1) Tell yourself a story. If something frightens you, try talking about it unemotionally, as if you're describing a photo. For example, "The plane is taking off. The girl's seat belt is fastened. She's holding a book." In one study people were shown scary images, and then asked to talk about the pictures as detached observers. This behavior quieted activity in the area of the brain that registers fear.

    2) Breathe from you belly. It's call diaphragmatic breathing. It's easy, and it works: Inhale slowly from your lower belly to a count of four, hold for four counts, then slowly exhale to a count of four. Keep doing this for several minutes. It will distract you from your thoughts and direct your attention to the present.

    3) Clench and release. You can downshift from stressed to serene by practicing progressive muscle relaxation. To do this, you will be tensing each muscle group. Start with your feet and gradually move up your body, finishing with your eyes. It will loosen your muscles and ease you mind.

    4) Admit your fear out loud. Simply voicing how scared you are taps into the more rational, less emotional part of your brain, one study found. Doing this increases activity in the logical parts of the brain and produces feelings of calmness.

    5) Tweak your point of view and vocabulary. If you can reframe whatever it is that unnerves you and think of it as an exciting challenge you'll feel more confident and better able to cope. A first date could be an opportunity for love, and a 5k race is an opportunity to show off how much you've trained.

KNOWING WHEN TO UPGRADE YOUR ELECTRONICS

A technology research company says meaningful changes in gadget technology tend to happen every three to four years. So how often should you upgrade your cellphone, tablet, or laptop? One expert recommends you work out the gadget's true cost over the number of hours you are likely to use it. Your smartphone should be upgraded relative to how much you use it, if you use it constantly it makes sense to upgrade every 20 months, or even once a year. Tablets shouldn't be upgraded often because they don't change much from year to year, and with laptops it's important to remember that even if you use it very frequently, it's possible to upgrade pieces of your machine to make it better- like the memory. Doing that could extend your computer's life to four years, rather than the typical three. (NY Times)

    POWERNAPS MAY BOOST BRAIN ACTIVITY

A study finds that taking a quick nap if you're struggling to solve a problem might help you figure out a solution. Experts assume that the right side of the brain deals with creative tasks and the left side is more analytical. Scientists say the study results might idicate that the right side of the brain performs "houselceaning" tasks-- like converting short term memories to long term-- while we sleep. One scientist says that scientific evidence suggests that sleep-- even short naps-- significantly enhances congnitive function. (Huffington Post)

MEN DON'T BUY THE GIFTS WOMEN WANT

It turns out it's not the thought that counts, at least among the wealthy-- a recent survey shows. In a survey of 625-households that represent the top 10-percent of the nation's wage earners it was found that two-thirds of American women want gift cards, but less than one-fifth of men will give it to them. Instead, 70-percent of women are gifted clothing or jewelry. Men hope to recieve food and alcohol, but 30-percent of women are expected to give them clothing, and 15-percent are expected to give men books.(CNN)
