FLEETWOOD MAC

Out today (January 29th) are Fleetwood Mac's expanded and deluxe versions of their 1977 blockbuster Rumours album. The set, which comes just short of the 36th anniversary of the album's release, will be issued in an "Expanded Edition" featuring the original album, the Stevie Nicks-written B-Side "Silver Springs," a live collection of tracks from 1977, and a full disc of session outtakes. The "Deluxe Edition" tags on a second disc of outtakes, a remastered vinyl version of the album, and a new documentary focusing on the album's recording sessions, titled, The Rosebud Film.

Lindsey Buckingham admits that well over 35 years after splitting as lovers, the joy and pain of his years with Stevie Nicks still rears its head in the context of Fleetwood Mac's live shows, telling Mojo, "Touring with an ex is not a problem. But I think there are still parts of mine and Stevie's relationship that are unresolved and it will be interesting to revisit that on this next tour. I know that what makes Rumours so attractive to people is the fact that we're making this music while all our hearts were breaking."

Despite the sales and accolades, Buckingham actually prefers Rumours' predecessor, Buckingham and Nicks' debut with the band, 1975's Fleetwood Mac album: "I actually think Fleetwood Mac is a better-recorded album. But we always knew that Rumours was good, and expected a certain outcome. I don't think anyone could have predicted the Michael Jackson world we'd find ourselves in."

Lindsey Buckingham said that fans tend to over-romanticize what a horrendous period the recording of Rumours was for the members of Fleetwood Mac: "If there was one worst thing it was probably just it was difficult for all four of us as two couples to have broken up to be alienated -- probably not to have gotten anything close to closure -- and to still have to kind of move forward. And to do that you kind of had to compartmentalize your emotions a little bit. You had to seal one thing off here and get on with it there. It was kind of an exercise in denial."

Fleetwood Mac will kick off its 48-date North American tour on April 4th at Columbus, Ohio's Nationwide Arena. See them in Houston at Toyota Center June 6th.  Listen to Dean & Rog this week to win tickets.

BLACK SABBATH

Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler said in a new interview with California radio station KCAL-FM that the band's new album -- the first in 34 years to feature Butler, guitarist Tony Iommi and singer Ozzy Osbourne -- is also the first that the original members of the band have made while completely sober. Butler explained, "None of us have been drinking or doing drugs or anything. It's a bit more professional in that way. We stuck to a schedule: every day we'd go in at one o'clock and finished at six. Five hours a day and that's it."

Ozzy said a while back that it took him a long time to realize he could make music without using drugs: "I used to get so frustrated with myself. I mean, I thought that you had to get loaded to make songs. I just thought drugs and alcohol are probably the major inspiration of making music, which I truly believed that because I'd never made a record without using it. And I thought it was that was making me creative."

Asked about the sound of the new album, Butler said,"It's got the feel of the first three albums, back to the basic rawness. The lyrics are about life, death, doom and everything else. You get Prozac with each album . . . "

Butler said that the addition of Rage Against The Machine drummer Brad Wilk for recording purposes -- replacing founding drummer Bill Ward -- was producer Rick Rubin's idea, explaining, "Rick suggested Brad because he's more in the vein of Bill Ward. We jammed with him and he sounded great with the stuff, so we went with that. We're sort of back to the way we used to be in the 70s and that's Brad's feel -- a sort of jazzy, bluesy feel."

Butler also revealed that the reported name of the new Sabbath album, 13, may change, saying, "It was sort of a temporary name, so we had something to refer to. It kinda stuck -- but I don't know whether that's going to be the final title or not . . . Originally we were going to put 13 tracks on the album. We ended up doing 16, but I'm not sure what's going to be on the album or what isn't."

The new Black Sabbath album -- the band's 19th overall -- is due out in June.

ELTON JOHN

Elton John and partner David Furnish released the first photos of their newborn son, Elijah, who was born on January 11th. The couple, along with their two-year-old son Zachary, posed for the shots for Britain's Hello magazine. Elton is called "Daddy" with Furnish called "Papa" by the children.

Elton, who was in the delivery room with Furnish for the birth, spoke about both boys' surrogate mother, saying, "We have a very close bond with her and were in constant touch throughout the pregnancy. She has given us two amazing gifts and we in turn have a duty of care to her and are fiercely protective of her anonymity. When another child is born, our depth of love just grows deeper and wider, so it was very emotional."

Elton John has shed the outlandish stage costumes, which were his trademark in the '70s and '80s -- the result he credits to his maturing years: "There are certain things that I don't do anymore. As you get older, you change the way you think, the way you dress. Um, I always liked to dress a little differently, from other people. But, I'm nowhere near the fashion victim that I was a long time ago."

FACEBOOK PROFILES MAY REVEAL SIGNS OF MENTAL ILLNESS

A new study suggests a person's facebook profile may reveal signs of mental illness that may not be apparent in a session with a psychiatrist. For the study, researchers had 200-college students fill out questionnaires designed to evaluate their levels of extroversion, paranoia, enjoyment of social interactions and endorsement of strange beliefs. The students were then asked to log onto Facebook, and told they had the option of blacking-out certain parts of their profile before some of it was printed out for the researchers to examine. Researchers found that people who disliked social interactions in real-life usually had fewer Facebook friends and generally communicated on the social network less. They also found that students who took the option of blacking-out certain parts of their profiles were more likely to hold odd beliefs and exhibited higher levels of paranoia. (Fox News)

HOW TO DEAL WITH RELATIONSHIP DEALBREAKERS(Fox News):

    1) When your man wants to quit his job to "find himself." "Ask him how he thinks this transitional phase will affect the relationship and how long he sees the transition lasting," says Nancy D. O'Reilly, a clinical psychologist based in Springfield, Mo. "If he's vague about what he wants to achieve and how he plans to achieve it, be worried." If your combined income will drop significantly, "work together to create a practical plan for the immediate future that addresses your needs too," says Don Rosenthal, co-author of Learning to Love: From Conflict to Lasting Harmony. Come up with a budget that shows how your household will operate on less money and avoid sacrifices you'll resent him for later; if you need a monthly massage to stay sane, insist on it.

    2) If your man secretly withdrew money from your joint saving to buy a new flat-screen TV. If your combined income will drop significantly, "work together to create a practical plan for the immediate future that addresses your needs too," says Don Rosenthal, co-author of Learning to Love: From Conflict to Lasting Harmony. Come up with a budget that shows how your household will operate on less money and avoid sacrifices you'll resent him for later; if you need a monthly massage to stay sane, insist on it. Open with this line: "Help me understand what you were thinking when you spent our money without checking in with me." Move into an "I feel" statement, such as "I feel hurt and betrayed when you make big decisions without talking to me first" - and finish with a plan of action, Buccino advises. To avoid future impasses, Dr. Scott Haltzman, co-author of The Secrets of Happily Married Women, suggests allotting half an hour every week to talk about financial goals for your shared accounts and how to use funds. Another good idea: Set up "yours," "mine," and "ours" bank accounts.

    3) If your man changed his mind and doesn't want kids. "This is an instant deal-breaker," says Leah Klungness, a psychologist and co-author of The Complete Single Mother. "It's a clear message, and it's essential to understand that this likely is not negotiable." Changing his mind about his career, where to live, or where to vacation won't have life-altering consequences, Klungness says, but "children are the only 'always and forever' commitment." Klungness adds that news like this involves an element of duplicity. "Perhaps what he's truly reconsidering is building a future with you," she says. "You deserve better than parenthood with a man who has been and may continue to be less than truthful."

    4) If your man slept with his best female friend before he met you. "Unless you asked for the declaration, this confession seems potentially cruel and hurtful; it doesn't help deepen or advance the current relationship," Buccino says. Which is exactly what you should explain to him. If he can't give a logical reason for why he felt compelled to confess, make cutthroat inquiries: How long ago did it happen? Does he ever feel tempted to do it again? Does he have deeper feelings for her - or anyone else? Provided you don't have a history of unfounded jealousy, use your gut to interpret his responses. Trust your feelings, and accept the truth, even if it's painful. By the end of it all, you'll know where you stand - and whether that will be next to him.

15 REASONS YOU ARE SINGLE: ACCORDING TO TWITTER(YourTango):

    1) Delusions of grandeur."I'm single because the gods do not mix with mortals." Whoa.

    2) Bad grammar. "im single cause im too much women for one man too handle." Grammar police!

    3) Clueless. "I simply don't know." It's time to figure things out. Duh...

    4) Game player. "I am single because I like to play hard to get." Got extra running shoes?

    5) Low self esteem. "I am single because I'm not good enough for anyone." You are more than good enough.

    6) Online too much. "I'm single because I have Wi-Fi." Get out in the real world a little.

    7) Epic tweeting. According to OkCupid, people who use Twitter every day tend to have briefer relationships. Automate those tweets.

    8) Putting your entire life online. "Yes back to single because he read my tweets." Some things are better left unsaid.

    9) Not online enough. "My mom just asked me if I was single because my Facebook status says 'In a Relationship' still." Keep your status current.

    10) You are a wounded puppy. "I'm single because I can't take being lied to, cheated on, or getting another broken heart." Take a bubble bath.

    11) Poor hygiene. "I am single because I smell like asparagus." Now that is a frightening thought.

12). We're going to die alone. "I'm single because I was born that way." What about the in-between years?

    13) Couch potato. "I'm too lazy to find a guy." Get out there girl!

    14) You don't know how to love. "I'm single because I'm a failure in love." There are lots of books.

    15) Superstitious. "I am single because I didn't forward those MySpace chain letters seven years ago!" Black cat alert!

    SUPER BOWL FOOD FACTS(Fox News):

    1) Ranch dressing. Move over bleu cheese. Almost 57-percent of Americans who eat chicken wings say they like to dip their wings ranch dressing, according to a new National Chicken Council poll. Only about 35-percent go for the bleu cheese dressing -unless you live in Northeast, where it's nearly 50-percent

    2) Pizza. Super Bowl Sunday is the busiest day of the year for pizza restaurants, according to the National Restaurant Association. In fact, chains Papa John's, Pizza Hut and Domino's will sell twice as many pies as they do on any other day.

    3) Potato chips. Wings and pizza are the two most popular Super Bowl snacks, but potato chips are close behind. Some 11 million pounds of chips are expected to be consumed on Sunday, as well as an estimated 4 million pounds of pretzels and 2.5 million pounds of nuts.

    4) Avocado. Luckily avocado is a Super Food, because 69.6 million pounds of avocados are consumed on Super Bowl, according to the Hass Avocado Board. Now, if you could avoid eating all those chips --but they go sooo good together.

    5) Popcorn. Get popping. Americans will eat about 3.8 million pounds of popcorn while watching the big game, according to the Calorie Control Council. If you skip the butter, it could be one of the day's healthiest snacks.

    6) Hamburgers. The Super Bowl is second-biggest grilling weekend of the year --the 4th of July is first. Some 14 billion hamburgers will be served up at parties across the country.

    7) Beer. Nothing goes better with football than beer. Some 49.2 million cases of beer are sold every year on the day of the Super Bowl. No wonder about six-percent of Americans call in sick for work the next day.

FIVE WAYS HAVING FRIENDS KEEPS YOU HEALTHIER (Men's Health):

    1) People with more friends live longer. In an Australian study of 1,477 retirees, the ones with the biggest real-life social networks, including friends and family, were 22-percent less likely to die within ten- years than those with the fewest buddies. The researchers suggested a variety of reasons to explain why, including better access to medical care and the financial resources to pay for it, and more influence to reduce smoking and alcohol consumption and increase exercise.

    2) A friendly chat eases pain. Even a quick conversation can help you better handle pain, according to a study at the University of Virginia. Researchers had 202 strangers pair up and chat for eight-minutes, asking them each to fill out a questionnaire identifying traits in the other person. Then the researchers gave half the partners fake responses, manipulating them into feeling misunderstood by the person they spoke with. The results: Those who felt like they connected with their partner were better able to withstand pain immediately afterward - in the form of holding their hand in ice cold water until they couldn't take it - than people who felt misunderstood.

    3) Marriage helps you survive heart surgery. When researchers at the University of Rochester tracked 173-men who had heart surgery, 86-percent of the happily married guys were still alive 15-years later, compared to just 36-percent of unmarried guys. Even men who said they were unhappy with their marriages lived longer - 60-percent of those husbands survived. It's likely because a spouse helps you stick to the healthy lifestyle changes, such as eating better and going for daily walks. And maybe wives taking away cheeseburgers could explain why some of the men seemed so disgruntled.

    4) Divorce leads to heart disease and diabetes. Not only are divorcées 20-percent more likely to have chronic health problems, according to a study at Johns Hopkins University, but even the ones who remarried only cut that risk down by about eight-percent. Add it all up, and divorced men had a 31-percent increased risk of dying early in a separate study from the University of Arizona. Blame the stress of divorce, which not only places extra strain on your cardiovascular system, but also results in many people sleeping less, skipping exercise, and eating poorly in the years after they split - all factors that lead to heart problems and weight gain.

    5) Internet friends help you get ripped. Maybe you don't have to leave the house to be healthier. A study at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research in Portland found that when people who had lost an average of 19-pounds participated in an online weight loss and fitness website, they were able to hang on to 44- percent of the initial weight lost. The website studied included widgets to track weight-loss goals and the amount of exercise performed, and a chat forum. There's no shortage of well-designed and popular websites to help you find online workout pals: Check out Fitocracy, Nike+, and the Men's Health Belly Off! Club.

SEVEN WEIRD BRAIN DISORDERS YOU PROBABLY NEVER HEARD OF(Huffington Post):

    1) Alien Hand Syndrome. Also sometimes referred to as the Dr. Strangelove Syndrome, this condition causes a patient's hand to take on a life of its own and act on its own accord.

    2) Riley-Day Syndrome. Patients with this condition are often unable to feel any pain, which can prove dangerous should they ever get injured.

    3) Cotard's Syndrome. An individual's belief that he or she is dead despite those around them saying they are not. Some report also believing they do not exist at all.

    4) Apotemnophilia. The desire of an individual to amputate a perfectly-healthy limb.

    5) Alice in Wonderland Syndrome. Patients with this condition report experiencing distorted body proportion: certain body parts -- often the head and hands -- are larger than they should be.

    6) Prosopagnosia. Sometimes called "face-blindness," this condition renders individuals unable to recognize faces -- even those of the people they love or encounter on a regular basis.

    7) Capgras Delusion. The belief that an acquaintance, or even someone an individual knows very well, is actually an identical-looking imposter.
