1989 was a most excellent year. David Coverdale (Whitesnake) married Tawny Kitaen, Jon Bon Jovi married his high school sweetheart Dorothea at the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, and “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure was released this week.
In case you don’t remember which movie it is. It’s the first in the “Bill & Ted” trilogy. Alex Winter is “Bill S. Preston, Esq.” and Keanu Reeves is “Ted “Theodore” Logan”. The movie follows the two slackers who travel in time with the help of “Rufus” played most excellently by George Carlin to assemble historical figures for their high school history presentation at San Dimas High School. Also in the movie are rockers Clarence Clemmons (Saxophonist for Bruce Springsteen & The E. Street Band), Martha Davis (The Motels), Fee Waybill (The Tubes) as “The Three Most Important People in the World” and Jane Wiedlin (The Go-Go’s) as “Joan of Arc”. Tonight would be the perfect night to watch “Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure” to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of it’s release.
