Back on December 18th 2020 The Kinks released the 50th anniversary edition of The Kinks “Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One”.
Part of that release was a new animated video for the song “Lola”.
I spoke with Kinks guitarist Dave Davies about the collection.
Dave talked the emotions he felt working on the project.
We also discussed a song newly released that he wrote in 1992 with Gerry Goffin, “21st Century”.
Davies spoke of how Bob Dylan influenced the song.
We also spoke about if there would be any recording or touring for The Kinks and the idea of Dave touring with his sons and Ray.
