Music Can Be As Addictive As Alcohol Or Money!

Research Shows That Humans Love Music!

There is proof that music can be as addictive as fast food, money, or even alcohol!

A study finds that humans love music! Of course, we already knew that. But, there is scientific proof. No matter what we are doing, driving, exercising, working, etc., we love to listen to music while we are doing it.

Researchers at McGill University discovered that music triggers the reward center of the brain known as the nucleus accumbens. Using brain scans, scientists found that firing up the neurons increased the listener’s enjoyment. The more the listener appreciated the music the more the brain lit up with pleasure.

In a statement to SWNS, the author of the study Dr. Mas-Herrero said “Music can act as a powerful motivational force in our everyday life, driving us towards music-related activities at the expense of time, money and effort – from waiting in line for hours in the rain or snow to buy a concert ticket to investing years of training to play an instrument,”.

I’m going to let these artists sum it up, Autograph “Turn Up The Radio”, Bobby McFerrin “Don’t Worry Be Happy”, and Sheryl Crow “If It Makes You Happy”!
