Suzi Hanks

Suzi Hanks is an award winning Radio Personality, Reporter, Copywriter, and Producer with 29 years of experience in major market radio and television.

Suzi is the News and Public Affairs Director at Cox Media Group, Houston, and has been part of the Dean and Rog morning Show since 2002.

Originally from Palm Desert California, Suzi graduated from California State Long Beach with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. Suzi's first job in the industry was as a Page at NBC in Burbank where she led studio tours, worked in Press Relations and Operations, and on shows such as  The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, Days of Our Lives, Wheel of Fortune, Scrabble, Classic Concentration, Donahue, Late Night with David Letterman and Bob Hope Specials !

Suzi then worked in Wyoming, where she traveled far distances, dodging deer and antelope, to work at both TV stations in the state. 

Suzi’s radio career began in Wheatland, Wyoming, population 3500. KYCN was a tiny station in the middle of a cow pasture, where she did sales, news, an afternoon on-air DJ shift, and wrote, voiced and produced all commercials and newscasts. 

Suzi moved to Houston in 1998 to work as a reporter at then News Radio 740 KTRH.

Suzi joined The Dean and Rog Morning Show in 2002, and is also the host and producer of the Cox Media Group, Houston, Public Affairs Show FYI, aired Sunday mornings on 93Q Country KKBQ-FM, Country Legends 97.1 KTHT-FM and The Eagle 107.5 KGLK & 106.9 KHPT.
