Most of us share our password for online streaming sites with family and close friends. Netflix doesn’t like it and starting next month they will be cracking down. Here’s their updated policy – “To ensure uninterrupted access to Netflix, connect to the Wi-Fi at your primary location, open the Netflix app or website, and watch something at least once every 31 days…This creates a trusted device so you can watch Netflix, even when you’re away from your primary location.”

Big question – what if someone tries to use your password outside of your primary location? “Netflix will prompt users who try to sign into your account elsewhere to sign up for their own account instead and block their access until they do.”

What if you want to use your password at a family member’s or friend’s house? What about while you’re out of town on vacation or a business trip? What do you have do? You will have to ask for a temporary code that will be good for 7 days.

Here’s more info from KHOU.com.

Netflix is getting serious about this. Enjoy February. The crackdown starts next month!
