Listen Live

John Mellencamp has been a very busy guy.

He has a documentary and live album coming from his free tour he did in 2000.

The trailer for the film and album that was released on February 16th 2021 is below.

It comes with a caption that says “John Mellencamp announces he’s set to unveil his new live album and documentary titled The Good Samaritan Tour this spring. The documentary, which will be narrated by Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey, chronicles Mellencamp’s historic free tour in 2000 when he performed on street corners and in public parks across the country.”

Plus John is in the studio working on his 25th album.

He’s already cut 10 tracks and you can check out a preview of one “I Always Lie To Strangers” here.

Not to mention Mellencamp has also been working on a play since before the pandemic began.

You can check out a video of two of the actors running lines for the play virtually below.

The caption on that video says “In addition to music and film, Mellencamp will resume production (Covid pending) for an untitled original play directed by Kathleen Marshall, produced by Scott Landis, and written by Naomi Wallace. We hope to resume production soon, but again, the timeframe will depend on the pandemic and our ability to recover from it. This is Connor Antico & Morgan Pereira rehearsing virtually. This is how a play begins…people rehearsing their lines. It gives you a ground-floor look at the beginning”.

Plus John also has an exhibit of his paintings that you can take a virtual walk through of here.
