The fake cards were found in two shipments in Pittsburgh, WPXI reported.

The first shipment of 20 cards was found on Aug. 24 after CBP officers noticed that they were low quality and were being imported by someone not connected to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention or was not a certified medical person.

The second shipment of 50 cards was sent to the same person in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. They were seized on Sept. 7.

Both shipments came from China, WPXI reported.

Over 6,000 counterfeit COVID-19 vaccination cards have been seized in areas such as Chicago, Memphis and Anchorage, WPXI reported.
