For the third time in four years, Terry Splawn, of Concord, won a big jackpot Monday when his $20 scratch-off ticket resulted in a $100,000 payday, WNCN reported.

Splawn bought a Premiere Cash ticket at Sam’s Mini Stop in Concord, North Carolina Education Lottery officials said in a news release. Splawn claimed his prize on Wednesday and took home $70,756 after federal and state tax withholdings were taken out, lottery officials said.

“It’s unbelievable,” Splawn said in a statement. “It certainly is fun to win.”

This week’s winnings were more modest for Splawn. His other two winning tickets were worth $1 million apiece.

In April 2017, Splawn bought a Millionaire Bucks ticket from the convenience store, lottery officials said. In March 2019 he duplicated the feat, winning $1 million after uncovering the jackpot on a $150 Million Cash Explosion scratch-off ticket.

Monday makes it a jackpot trifecta.

“It was on Labor Day!” Splawn told lottery officials. “So, it was a really nice surprise for the day.”
