The theft occurred Tuesday night in the Wood Ranch neighborhood of the city, KRON-TV reported. No one was at home when the theft occurred, according to the Danville Police Department.

The suspects were caught on home video surveillance camera at about 7:25 p.m. PST, KTVU reported.

The suspects can be seen approaching the home, with one of the men falling into a nearby pond, the television station reported.

They are then seen carrying items away from the home, with one of the suspects ringing the doorbell as they left the front porch of the home.

According to the police department, the homeowner came home at about 10:46 p.m. and reported the theft.

The victim said the suspects stole cash, jewelry, sunglasses, and bags worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, KTVU reported.

“It was dark, and they surveyed the house from (the) backyard to see if anyone was home before breaking (the) slider,” the victim told the television station. “I just feel like they’re pretty brazen to go in, not knowing if people are in the home or not, and I feel like it’s a dangerous situation.”

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
