Disney+ announced Friday that it is going to air a limited series based on “The Santa Clause” and Tim Allen will once again be donning the red suit.
TVLine reported production is expected to start in the spring in Los Angeles.
The story will focus on an aging Scott Calvin who is turning 65, and who is slowing down as Santa. He also wants to give his family a normal life, so he’s looking for his replacement.
“The Santa Clause” was released in 1994 and inspired two sequels, People magazine reported.
Allen won a People’s Choice Award for the role, Deadline reported.
